Swaay joins ATIM, Ireland's advanced manufacturing cluster
In short
Swaay has joined ATIM, the Advanced Technologies in Manufacturing cluster, Ireland's network for advanced manufacturing. Membership puts us alongside Irish manufacturers working on the same problems, and the partners backing that collaboration, including Enterprise Ireland, TUS Research, Development & Innovation and InterTradeIreland.
We have no doubt we are joining the company of some stellar operators in the space. We're looking forward to working closely with the wider community of Irish manufacturers tackling similar challenges, and with the partners backing that collaboration.
Why does a manufacturing cluster matter to a can printing platform?
Distributed digital printing is a manufacturing problem before it is a packaging one. Cell design, throughput, quality control, and the way a print cell sits alongside the lines that already exist. Those are questions Irish manufacturers across every sector are already working through.
A cluster shortens that learning curve. It puts operators, researchers and state agencies in the same room, and it means the answers get shared rather than found twice.
Built across Ireland and Canada
Along with Ciarán Gorman, Sebastien Baril and Jean-François Gaudreault across Ireland and Canada, our team is putting years of beverage packaging and direct-to-can printing experience into this. Great to have ATIM and their network alongside us as we build. It follows June's joint Canada–Ireland statement, which named Swaay in a $5M Trois-Rivières investment.
